Begin each day with laughter. Bob Cole, who you and I would listen to on the radio when you were growing up, is back on the AIR! Bob left KVET several months ago and along with some friends has resurrected the original Austin, Texas KOKE FM radio station. I used to listen to KOKE in the 1970’s a lot while driving daily to work from Lampasas to Austin. You remember Bob and Sammy, right? I love listening to Bob and his KOKE staff members and guests each morning. Listening to this radio station helps gets me off to a fun and positive start in the mornings. Try listening and see what you think. The frequency is 99.3 FM. You can also stream the broadcasting at www.kokefm.com. The morning show broadcasts from 6-10AM – has lots of fun talking and cool music! Bob has the gift of seeing the beauty in a lot of what others perceive as ugly — he sees the positive in what others see as negative. His positive attitude is contagious – I like how it rubs off on the listeners including me! Bob is real good at converting Hell into Heaven here on Earth with his positive attitude and well spoken words.
Don’t drink and then drive. Put your keys up where you are going to spend the night before taking a first drink of the day. Most important is to be a safe driver and enjoy our beautiful highways and fun vehicles. Our society is different than it used to be. When I arrived in Texas from Vietnam, you could legally drive a vehicle on a Texas highway while drinking a beer as long as you remained below a blood alcohol level of .10. Today, if a Highway Officer smells alcohol on your breath, they take you to jail. This is my NEW policy!
Don’t drink at all if your body chemistry can’t tell when to stop. Two drinks are plenty if one can know when to stop. See Brain Chemistry Video below:
The best kept secret for a successful day is a good night’s rest. If you want to feel good the next day, get a good nights sleep. Our bodies recharge and heal while we sleep. When we sleep, our conscious mind becomes suspended allowing the energy used to power the conscious mind to charge our body with the extra available energy.
Save Money. Save money for emergencies and extra fun things to do and buy when they come up — always try to have a reserve of funds set aside.
Manage your life in such a manner so as to be prepared and ready to handle emergencies when they arise.
